The practitioner
A researcher who still teaches on the mat.
Based in New Delhi, Dr. Anchal Sharma brings academic rigor to living yoga. Her doctoral work at Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior examined how structured Laughter Yoga changes psychological and physiological variables in orphan special children — a population rarely given evidence-based wellness tools.
She is UGC-NET qualified in Yoga, holds 200- and 300-hour Teacher Training from Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School, an M.A. in Yoga from Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, and a B.A. (Hons) in English from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. Training in naturopathy and meditation sits alongside years of classroom, corporate, and one-to-one teaching.
The practice she offers is gentle, inclusive, and measurable: asana, pranayama, mindfulness, and Laughter Yoga designed for adolescents, special populations, schools, and workplaces — not only for those who already feel well.
